Chalazions are blocked glands in your eye lids. These blockages can become painful. Most of the time chalazions can be treated with eye drops and warm compresses, however sometimes a chalazion does not resolve. When this happens, Dr. Smith can removal the blockage in a short in office procedure. After which you will need about a week to heal, during this time you will be on drops to help the chalazion heal.
