IPL vs Laser

There is a difference between IPL and Laser. IPL uses a range of light frequencies, resulting in a bright flash of light. Whereas a laser uses one specific frequency of light, resulting in a tight beam of light. These can be used in combination to improve and enhance the skin treatments.

Skin resurfacing uses a laser to make micro pricks into the skin, stimulating collagens and elastin to rejuvenate. This process usually takes 3 to 4 treatments to achieve maximum results. Skin resurfacing helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Skin resurfacing uses a 1540 wavelength laser, specifically targets your skin to make new collagen and elastin. Spider leg veins are also removed with the use of a laser.

A PhotoFractional treatment uses both IPL and laser treatments to remove the appearance of wrinkles, brighten and even skin tones, and allows the patient to receive a photofacial and skin resurfacing in one treatment.

By combining both IPL and Laser technologies, both skin pigmentation and texture can be treated at the same time.
